The Challenge

Every year from 2010 through 2019, four businesses were selected to be profiled by King Township. The format transitioned from a printed profile to a video profile in 2016.  In 2019, Northern Wide Plank, a flooring company based out of Schomberg was selected to be profiled.

The Scope

Prior to contacting the business, an extensive review of their communications ensured that all content produced by the Township was on strategy.  A  one hour preproduction meeting allowed for a tour, enabling the planning of the shot list, as well as outlining expectations for the business.  A storyboard with shot list was sent in advance to the business. Recognizing that these businesses are busy, the video was shot in under two hours.

The Impact

The video debuted at the Mayor's Business Breakfast, which was attended by a number of contractors, who had been unaware of Nothern Wide Plank and expressed strong interest in their business.
